Our Philosophy
The story of a little duck that just wants to tell you your IP address.
Joining the flock
For decades, the friendliest corner of the internet has been the "what's my IP" animals — a whole menagerie of critters answering one simple, surprisingly delightful question: "What's my IP address?"
IP Ducky waddles in to join that flock. Same honest mission, fresh coat of feathers — and a quack.
Why a duck?
Too many IP-lookup sites have grown heavy with ads, pop-ups, and trackers. We wanted the opposite: something that loads instantly, looks adorable, tells you exactly what you came for, and then gets out of your way. A rubber duck floating calmly on a pond felt just right — cheerful, simple, and a little bit silly.
Privacy first
Everything happens in your browser. Your IP and location are looked up directly from your device, shown to you, and never stored on a server we control. No accounts, no ad cookies, no nonsense. The only thing we remember is whether you muted the quack — and that stays on your device.
What Ducky shows you
- Your IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, each with a one-tap copy button.
- Approximate location — city, region, country (with flag) and a map.
- Reverse-DNS hostname of your IP, the way your ISP names it.
- Ducky's Findings — browser, OS, time zone, screen, device, and more, each card expandable with a copy icon.
- A real quack on click (mutable any time), plus a few hidden surprises for the curious. 👑
- Works everywhere — fast, responsive, and friendly on phones.
Keep it simple
That's the whole philosophy: be useful, be kind to your privacy, and be a little joyful while doing it. Thanks for visiting. Quack! 🦆
