Privacy Policy
Thanks for paddling over to IP Ducky! This policy explains how we handle data when you visit. Please read it carefully — we may change it at any time.
Data Collection
We do not collect any personally identifiable information about you. IP Ducky is a static website: the lookups you see (your IP address, approximate location, ISP, and reverse-DNS name) are performed in your own browser by calling third-party APIs directly — that data is shown to you and is not sent to or stored on any server we control.
Our site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, the host may keep standard server logs (such as your IP address, browser type, and access times) for security, troubleshooting, and operations. We do not control or use those logs for tracking.
Third-Party Services
To show your information, your browser contacts these services, each with its own privacy policy:
- ipapi.co and ipify — your public IP address and geolocation
- Google Public DNS — reverse-DNS (hostname) lookup
- OpenStreetMap — the approximate-location map
- flagcdn.com — country flag images
Cookies
IP Ducky does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The only thing we store is a single preference — whether you've muted the site's sounds — saved in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Emails
If you contact us via email, we may keep a record of your communication, including your email address, for our records. Email records are retained for at least 1 year.
